Start by preparing the oven, you need to set the temperature. At 175°F, grease bottom and sides of three 8-inch round cake pans with cooking spray and set aside for later use.
Second, mix cake ingredients in a large mixing bowl of an electric mixer on high speed for 2 minutes, scraping down sides of bowl halfway through. Pour 1 1/2 cups of batter into each of the pans.
And to bake them, the cooking time is around 18 to 20 minutes, once done you have to let them cool for 10 minutes before transferring them onto wire racks, then leave them for 45 minutes until they cool completely.
The fourth step:
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese on high speed until smooth. Add the powdered sugar in small amounts until the frosting is thick and creamy. Combine strawberry jam and vanilla extract, mix well to combine all ingredients together, then food coloring can be used to color in the decorations until the right color is achieved.
At this point, a layer of cake, rounded from top to bottom, should be placed on a serving plate. On top, spread 2/3 cup frosting, then 1/2 cup chopped strawberries in a single layer on top of the icing, stopping 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) from edge of cake.
Place the second cake layer on top. Spread 2/3 cup (150 ml) of frosting on top and garnish with remaining strawberry slices. The third layer of cake, round-faced, is placed on top. Decorate the top and sides of the cake with the rest of the icing.
Finally, put the cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving, and place the whole strawberry on top of the cake, in the center.
